This is the first workshop in our series Mindful Art: Journey of Creativity and Calm. We’ll be holding them the first Wednesday of every month starting in June. Each Mindful Art workshop is a stand alone class but you can attend as many as you want! (See below for a more in depth description.)

For this workshop, you’ll transform internal tensions into beauty, visually map change, and create a sense of closure and new beginnings. This practice stimulates new neural connections and enhances mindfulness through slow, intentional drawing. All supplies are provided.

Mindful Art: Journey of Creativity and Calm

Our Mindful Art series is an exploration of inner stillness, self-expression, and creative play. This gentle program is designed for those new to both mindfulness and art as well as experienced practitioners, offering a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with your creativity in a meaningful way. Each 90 minute session begins with a brief guided meditation to ground the mind and body, followed by a beginner-friendly art activity that uses simple materials and requires no previous artistic experience. The focus is on the process, not the outcome—this is a judgment-free space to experiment, reflect, and enjoy the act of making.

We’ll explore color, shape, texture, and pattern while gently tuning into our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. Activities include watercolor expression, intuitive doodling, nature-based art, and more—each designed to cultivate presence, joy, and creative confidence. Whether you're looking to relieve stress, reconnect with your inner child, or simply try something new, this workshop series offers a peaceful pause and a playful path to self-discovery.
