Come create a slow stitched bookmark with us, just in time for cozying up with a good book this winter!
Unlike traditional sewing meant for mending or making garments, slow stitching is the art of hand sewing with intention, patience and creativity. Rather than aiming for perfection or productivity, this practice celebrates the process—working with your hands, exploring textures, and enjoying the materials themselves. Using bits and pieces of fabric, ribbon, lace, buttons, trims, and other upcycled or salvaged materials, slow stitching transforms simple, everyday scraps into expressive textile art.
In this two hour class, we invite you to create for the sake of creativity, presence, and joy. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring any treasures you’d like to include!
