Slow stitching is a mindful, meditative hand-sewing practice. It uses simple, repetitive stitches on layered fabric scraps without strict patterns or rules. Slow stitching embraces imperfection, sustainability, and relaxation. For this workshop, we will use nature as inspiration. There will be a variety of materials available for you to begin a slow stitch landscape design. Enjoy adding to this project throughout the winter for a true hygge* experience. There is no end to what you can include on your project -beads, buttons, ribbons, etc. are all fun additions. During this workshop we will focus on fabrics to get you started. There are no right or wrong ways to go about this project. There will be examples and patterns for you to utilize, if you choose to. Come craft with us!
*Hygge is the Danish and Norwegian concept of coziness and contentment.
